SOVEREIGN
Lord, you are sovereign
Bigger than I know,
Untamed and out-of-control
When I think I know you,
you show me more.
You move in ways I never knew,
now I see it's all up to you.
You do as you choose.
You cannot be put in a box.
You look over my faults.
Your grace is unconditional,
always at work.
Even when I have fallen face first in the dirt
Give me the strength to run after you with all of my heart.
All of my longings are before you
and you know my ways.
You have planned all of my days.
I am stretching my mind, I cannot comprehend
all that you are and do, there is no end.
So majestic and worthy of praise,
I will continue to give you all of my days!

I stare
I stare from the window as you knock
The curtains hide my face and the door is locked
l look at the clock...its been a while.
You've been waiting...knocking
Unexpectedly you came
The junk has piled up,
Its dirty and there's a stench inside
Secrets hide in the shadows ashamed and tender
Afraid to let you in
What will you see?
Are you ready?
To this door, it is I that holds the key
Please...just let me be
Your still knocking...
You know I'm there
Presistant because you care
Still...I stare
Frozen with fear
Afraid to let you in
Your knocking on my heart
Time has passed and it's getting dark
Still...your there...knocking

In the ancient garden it was the same
You searching in the cool of the day
Us hiding full of fear and shame
playing foolish games
Where are you? I can hear you say
